“R” Chin Spoiler Installed
Installed the “R” Chin Spoiler this morning. It ended up being fairly easy, there are just lots of clips and bolts that hold it to the existing bumper cover.

What is the real benifit of adding this spoiler? I have been considering adding one of these for quite some time, but do not know if there is a performance return. What sort of benifit will I recieve? Thank you for you time.

Hi Sean — A spoiler like this helps keep air from going underneath the car, helping with high-speed (ha! high speed and Miata don’t go together very well!) stability. It also has little holes that seem to direct air toward the brakes. I’m not sure exactly how it would feel different than without the spoiler, but I see them on all the SM’s around here, so I figured it was a good thing
